NEWSPAPER VOCABULARY  




1.     Petition (n):   पटीशन = Plea = Appeal = Request = याचिका
Sent = Pradhuman’s Father filed a plea in Supreme Court demanding CBI Inquiry into Pradhuman’s murder
2.     Protest (v/n):  प्रोटेस्ट = Agitate = Demonstrate = raise voice against injustice = विरोध करना
Sent = these days, people are protesting against the Ryan International School.
3.     Allege (v): अलेज =Accuse = Blame = charge = किसी पर आरोप लगाना
Allegation (n) = Accusation = आरोप          Alleged (adj) = Accused (n)= आरोपी
Sent: 1) Asaram is a rape accused    2) Pakistan always puts fake allegation on India in the UNO.
4.     Convict (n/v): कोन्विक्ट (n), कन्विक्ट (v) = = guilty (adj) = Culprit (n) = Criminal (n)

5.     Acquit (v): अक्विट= exonerate(v) इग्ज़ानरेट (somebody from something) = absolve (v) अब्सोल्व (somebody of something) = free from charges or allegations   = दोषमुक्त कर देना

6.     Probe (n/v) (into something) = Inquire = Investigate = जांच करना
